How We Began

Common Grace Birth Support is a business borne out of a desire to see more families in rural West Michigan have access to perinatal support--through classes, quality doula services, and postpartum care. Founded by two friends, Abby and Maggie, Common Grace Birth Support exists to help you have the positive birth experience you want.

We offer one-on-one prenatal appointments as well as regular group classes. We truly believe anyone and everyone can benefit from learning about the process of birth, breastfeeding, and newborn care whether you're a client of ours or not!

Doulas have been shown to have many benefits for laboring families, including shorter labors and more positive feelings about a birth experience. We offer prenatal visits, continual support throughout labor & birth, as well as postpartum care.

If you are looking for support during the postpartum transition period, we would be happy to help you in any way. Our doulas provide many types of postpartum care, including overnights, nutrition planning and support, and support for families with babies who have been in the NICU. .
